Running Top-10 — #8

Are you looking to become a better runner in 2018? If so, I believe that I can help and my Running Top-10 list is a great place to start if you want to become a better runner in 2018!

Today’s tip is an easy one, but something that a lot of people get wrong…

You need to run EASY. Many professional runners, african runners, and people who have been in the sport for a long time implore that you run easier on your easy days. However, very few people take that advice. Yes, it is America, and the no-pain, no-gain slogan is popular…but that doesn’t mean it’s right.

Easy days should be easy. They should be easy enough for you to recover for the next session. And listen…because this is important…EASY DOESN’T HAVE TO BE SLOW. In fact, easy should never be plodding along with poor mechanics or poor foot strike.

EASY simply means EASY. There is no pace…I don’t care what kind of science you are into…EASY simply means EASY.

Go out and take your EASY DAYS EASY and I can promise you that you’ll be a healthier, happier, and better runner in 2018!

As always, if you have any questions please email me at thedailyrun@gmail.com.
