I have run 2:00, I have run 2:01. The next is to run 2:02.
Even the greats have some humor. Eliud Kipchoge ran to a new world record in the marathon this past weekend with his 2:01:39 effort at the Berlin Marathon. He beat the next finisher by nearly 5 minutes!
During the ‘race’ his pace makers dropped out early and when asked about it afterwards, Kipchoge said, “It was unfortunate, but I had the belief and I was really ready for Berlin. I had to push by my own.”
The best EVER has a great sense of humor and a great belief in his abilities…that’s a winning combo.
